Courses and workshops

Libraries are open spaces for education that will help you to meet the challenges posed by the information society and to update your professional know-how. The Network of Municipal Libraries provides training in the following areas, principally:

New technologies: municipal libraries enable users to become familiar with the available technologies through workshops introducing computers and Internet browsing and communication.

Languages: the Network of Municipal Libraries organises courses in different languages at various levels. If you want to improve your conversational skills, sign on for book clubs in other languages.

Creativity: workshops on creative writing, poetry and handicrafts will encourage your more artistic side whilst you enjoy yourself at the library.

Use of the library: library staff will show you how to use digital resources, such as encyclopaedias and databases, and organise courses on how to get the most out of the library.
