Aquest mes de febrer es comentarà la novel·la: Hotel du Lac de Anita Brookner. Dinamitza Chris Conduit.
Hotel du Lac is a subtle and introspective novel centered on Edith Hope, a reserved English writer who retreats to a quiet Swiss hotel after a personal crisis. Through restrained prose and keen psychological insight, Anita Brookner explores themes of solitude, emotional restraint, and the social expectations placed on women. The novel’s quiet tone and elegant style create a melancholic atmosphere, where small gestures and silences reveal deep inner conflicts. It is a novel to be read slowly, attentive to nuance rather than plot.
